ILUVLIVE Review
Monday 21 January 2013
For the first event of the year, ILUVLIVE opens its doors despite the snowy weather.
With Dj Twin B dropping the hottest tracks, the vibe is set for the night.
As the venue fills up with music lovers, host Ras Kwamegreets everyone a Happy New Year and proceeds with the nights exciting line-up.
First to take the stage is our winner from the last ILUVLIVEopen mic, Andreas Liberos. His striking vocals warmed up the mic and caught the audience’s attention once again as he sungNot Going and Too Close, both of which are originals. Setting standards, Andreas fills the venue, together with ILUVLIVE’s house band with his uplifting R’n’B vibes.
MC artist Shaodow is amazingly known for his strive as he’s sold over 11,000 CD’s across the UK independently. With enthusiasm and passion, he performs his first track “Look Out” (There’s a black man coming) .
The song was named 4th in the Oxfordshire’s top twenty charts after
Radiohead at number 3. He introduces his second track “Get stronger”, which feature’s Ghetts, has been the most successful single and the biggest threat on his album. The track has a strong meaning to it, everyone’s eyes were glued to the stage as he kept moving around and making eye contact with the audience.
One Fourz came on stage the first track he performed was called “Only One” he sang with a strong voice. He started to rap the audience were totally rocking with his crazy flow. The ladies were trying to get his attention as they screamed and cheered him on.
The next track he performed was called “ Life Of A Hoodlum” which he performed with a close friend called Pierre Amil. The message in the song communicates growing surrounded by women never having time for his father. The song’s about the people growing up in the hood. There’s good and bad things but always go for the positive.
The third track he performs is called “Up Der With the Best”
The audience were really supportive and relaxed enjoying of the tracks One Fourz had in store for them. He also mentioned that he wanted new followers and he loved to see new faces tweeting him.
Three gentlemen, collectively known as Rough Copy, showed London the definition of swag, as their Kanye West inspired attire vouched the crowds attention. Their perfected harmonies during their performance of She Dope matched with the wild amounts of energy bouncing across the venue, it was clear they definitely knew how to have a good time on stage. Also performing their rendition of Use Somebody by the Kings of Leon, which was first performed on the XFactor stage. We definitely gave these guys an ILUVLIVE yes!
Ard Adz & Sho Shallowcame on stage and performed three tracks one of them being “Misleading”.Shallow started of by saying “Us guys always mislead a girl by saying we love them but we really don’t, they’re just a bit of love making”. The title speaks for itself as it grabbed both male and females attention.
They both gave mass amounts contact, engaging with the crowd as their vibe was different people were really focused on them.
After a quick band change, rising artist and musician Tom Prior along with his personal band, floored the audience as he opened his set with an original. Impressing the crowd with his unique qualities, he continued to wow ILUVLIVE with his version of Jay-z and Kanye West’s “No Church in The Wild”. Fan or no fan of Watch the Throne, Tom Pior received an endless amount of reception.
As ILUVLIVE draws to its last performer, Ras welcomes our Headliner for the night. Bobii Lewis, who’s already topped to be UK’s best up and coming new male artists in the urban scene, introduces himself before sharing his promotional release track for his upcoming mixtape The Mash-up. Performing Grenade the audience were inclined in seeing just how lyrically real and unique he is.
To close his set, Bobii together with his guitarist, performs for us a mesmerising cover of Bob Marley’s Redemption Song.
Last but not least, to close the ILUVLIVE stage, we have our infamous Open Mic. Hosted by Ras and Remel London, the floor is open to members of the audience for 60 seconds, for a chance to open the next event.
A big congratulations to Candace who will be performing atILUVLIVE’s next event on the 18th of February 2013.

My Job Role For Music Potential Was Being An Artist Liaison!!
I Really Enjoy Being An Artist Liaison Not Because You Get To Meet A Lot Of Artists, Its Because I Am A Shy Person And I Normally Would Smile And Act Confident But Now Its All Natural, I Am Gaining A Good Experience In Interacting With New People I Meet Everyday.
